On November 6, 2012 54% of the American Citizens in Puerto Rico voted in favor of discarding the territorial status of the island; 61% voted in favor of statehood as the post-territorial choice.
Please publicly and unequivocally ask Congress to begin the process of admitting Puerto Rico as a state. It is time to make America's relationship with Puerto Ricans more equitable for everyone involved.
