Too many US Senator and US Representatives have made a career of being in Congress. They care more about being re-elected than doing what is best for the country. Many of them have held their positions for decades. The President of the United States is subject to a 2 term limits. Why aren't members of congress subject to term limits. They are becoming too powerful and too entrenched. And, their decades long individual relationships with lobbyists is not in the best interest of the citizens of our great country. Term limits apply to almost all public offices. Why not the US Congress?
