We live in a representative democratic repulbic in which our political representatives should be representative of the general population they are representing. This is not the case. The cause of this failing is not the people don't come out an vote but that we are not counting our votes correctly. Not voting is a statement about both the issues and agendas of the election and the candidates running for election. The no vote means the issues are not that critical or that the candidates are not suitable.
We just elected a President with less than 30% of the support of all eligible voters.
Voting is not Democracy, it's just a system for counting. Until the voices of ALL count we will have Governmnet by the Minority, for the Special Interests.
