We are the only developed country in the world with a blight of mass shootings. So, how do WE approach this problem?
First, properly interpret the Constitution, as it was originally conceived. Only state mandated militias may possess guns—like the National Guard. Ballistic weapons took about 60 sec. to reload, often inaccurate, couldn’t fire when wet. Founders couldn’t conceive of automatic weapons.
Second, eliminate the problem. Include the NRA as a terrorist organization, freeze all funds, seize and search member lists for individual persons of interest.
Third, implement the changes with a 3-5 year phase-in. No more token moments of silence from the policy makers that propagate the NRA’s and weapons manufacturer’s agenda. All guns seized.
