Properly teach children and adults how much sugar is in food choices. The food pyramid needs to be revamped.

Created by S.G. on January 27, 2013

I never understood how much sugar was actually in everything until I had weight loss surgery. It was amazing how many teaspoons were in each item. That is not taught in schools. The food pyramid needs to be modernized. My choices became so much better once I learned understood how much sugar was in an item. Kids need this from an early age. With weight and diabetes on the rise, apparently the charts we have now are not working. I would like all children to have that opportunity to make wise choices. I feel their parents should be involved. It should be available in every school for every family. Not many people can afford a dietician, so implementing one in schools would add jobs, add family moral and knowledge.
