Police Officers face many dangers every day. This year has been extraordinarily deadly and violence against police officers is getting worse. Many police officers struggle with low salaries, difficult work schedules, and marital problems due to the stress that this creates. A police officers day at work can be affected heavily by his current situation at home, especially when he is under a great deal of stress. A 50% tax break for police officers would greatly reduce his/her stress, allowing for improved performance under pressure in hostile work environments. There are less than 1 million law enforcement officers in this country. Our communities would not be the same without these brave men and women. It's time to step up and give back to them.
