This Petition is presented by a private citizen who is not currently affiliated with any private, non-profit or government organization.
I propose that our nation create a large uniformed organization trained and equipped to respond to various disasters that afflict the United States or other countries in need of help. This organization should be comprised of paid active and perhaps reserve volunteers and structured much like a military organization. It should include medical professionals, fire fighters, construction engineers administrative personnel and large number of ready workers. The organization should be ready to deploy at a moments notice and have access to dedicated transport. This would generate international good will, satisfy a need and create jobs.
