Proposal for creation of special VISA for family members of U.S. Military and Veterans

Created by M.S. on December 23, 2012

Proposal for creation of new special VISA category for family members of Active U.S. Military Service Members and Veterans.

I would like to propose a creation for a new type of VISA (Category M-1) which will allows family members of Active Duty, Reserves, National Guardsmen and honorably discharged veterans to visit their relatives in the United States.
In current visa policy, loved ones must apply for a tourist visa (B2) which most of them are denied for lack of ties to their home country. The U.S. Military members and veterans have given years of dedication and service to this country and they must be allowed to have family members and loved ones by their side.

I am a living example of this problematic law. When I returned from a combat zone in Iraq, my only wish was to have my bother
