Proposal: Make it a federal crime to cause bodily harm to another person, simply for showing support for another party.

Across the country, we are seeing acts of violence being committed by people, against other citizens, in an attempt to intimidate them, to silence their political views; and in some instances, simply out of anger and frustration over election results. These actions are a great threat to our National Security, for they weaken our democratic system of Government, and put into question the validity of the electoral process. We call on the government of the United States of America to protect it Citizens against these forms of attack, and to remind our Nation that any such attacks to the democratic system will be dealt with in a severe and swift manner. A nation can only remain free when its citizens are allowed to exercise freely their right to vote without fear of loss of life or property.
