Proposal to raise the speed limit to 80mph

We should raise the speed limit to 80 mph on major highways like I-75, I-96, I-296 or Route 66, whatever highway, freeway, expressway, turnpike, intersate etc. They have already done it in some places in Montana, Nevada, Idaho, South Dakota, Utah, Texas, and Wyoming. There seems to be no more or less accidents in those states. In fact drivers seem to pay more attention since there is a higher speed limit. People would speed less and people would get to their destinations faster.
