A Proposal for secession in New York.

This is a petition for the secession of New York City and Long Island from the State of New York.
Where New York City and the following counties will become a new State in the Union known as New York City: Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia, and Albany.
Where Long Island (Nassua and Sulfok counties) will become a new State in the Union known as Long Island.
Where the counties not listed above will remain in the State of New York.
It has long been held since the late 1700's, that upstate New York is an entirely different world from New York City. The two areas have two very different cultures. UNY Rural and country. NYC Urban and city.
Because of these differences and economic differences,the people in UNY are not represented justly in the current form of NY.
