Executive Orders bypass the American citizens' elected representatives in the legislature and the people's voice. American citizens elect Congressmen and Senators directly and for the select purpose of creating legislation to run the country. A President is elected by 270 people in the Electoral College and is not elected for the purpose of creating legislation. It is the people's representatives who must create the laws and such an excessive amount of legislation in recent years has bypassed the rigorous process of writing and rewriting bills to be perfected and ratified as law by Congress, that it gives too much power to the Executive Branch of Government if it can use Executive Orders to bypass the checks and balance system set up by our forefathers to prevent a tyrannical state.
