Many Americans are perfectly aware that the Supreme Court, among other Federal courts, have for a very long time decided whether or not local, state, and federal laws are constitutional. If they decide to say no, they essentially veto it -- a job the President already has.
Sometimes, they make up their own rules as they go along. The courts were established to interpret the law, not make or nullify them. American courts were established for the purposes of interpreting and enforcing American laws, not to make or nullify them.
Let an Amendment be proposed that gives the State legislatures the power to determine the validity of local, State, and Federal laws.
Our elected representatives are better suited to determine if our own laws are actually legal than a random panel of judges is.
