Congress is comprised of many career politicians who have maneuvered self-written administrative policies for their own political and personal gains. It no longer embodies a realistic, representative sample of the American public and disenfranchises its constituents in the process.
A constitutional amendment to impose mandatory term limits on members of Congress: four 2-year terms for the House, two 6-year terms for the Senate; will inhibit self-serving entrenchment, promote new faces and ideas more reflective of our burgeoning populace and provide opportunity and advancement for ever more of our citizenry to participate in a government for, of and by the people.
