If we are serious about keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals then we need strong legislation against firearm theft. Any criminal who would knowingly steal a firearm, knowing they were risking a life sentence, is a serious threat to public safety. Stealing a gun to get a few bucks would no longer be worth the risk. This is a law both sides of the gun debate can agree on. It will help keep guns and dangerous criminal off the streets.
