Propose a bill to Congress banning local and state governments from implementing Red light Cameras.

The President should propose a bill making it illegal for states and local governments to install red light cameras for the use of collecting fines. The law should require any red light cameras to punish violators with points and or other non monetary punishments. This will ensure that the money is taken out of the motive of installing these cameras. Many local governments have abusively installed these cameras only to make money, not for safety reasons. Millions have been spent lobbying local governments by private firms selling these cameras, and these same firms get a cut of ticket proceeds..This is completely unfair to the general public and needs to be stopped.
