to propose a bill that forgoes the re-inauguration celebration when the nation is not in a surplus status.

Created by J.N. on January 14, 2013

To spend over a million dollars for a re-inauguration celebration is wasteful and irresponsible when we are so far in debt. In debt at all, really. I don't throw parties when I'm paying bills with borrowed money. Or I wouldn't if I had a choice in the matter. The problem is, its the taxpayer's money that is being spent on it. I propose a bill that would forgo the re-inauguration of a standing president when the nation is not in a surplus status.
