Congress has become an enterprise centered around corruption. Neither party has been exempt from the corrupting nature of Washington. They all want to re-elected and thus allow lobbyists to influence legislation through large campaign contributions. Government should not be allowed to create an unfair environment through favorable tax statuses, subsidies, and other government mandated benefits for specific companies, unions, or sectors.
Our representatives need to learn once more that they are just that, representatives of the people. They need to realize they are one of us and that one day they will have to re-join the populous and operate under the laws they have created for the rest of. Right now they act like our rulers instead of our neighbors. Lets bring them back to reality.
