Propose a bill making any government corruption an act of treason as it is intentional sabotage for personal gain

If any government official is found to be using their position for personal gain in a corrupt way then that said official should be charged with treason, as this is a direct sabotage of the government and it's people for personal gain and therefore inexcusable. Any official that uses his/her position for profiteering, bribery, gifts or any such scenario shall be punished to the fullest extent of the law for willfully and intentionally weakening and/or defrauding the American economy.
