At the time this petition was created, the national debt was about $16.7 trillion. By the time you are reading it, the debt is probably way past that number, because we are spending about $15,000 a second, $10 billion dollars a day. America needs a solution to this problem NOW, and it needs to come from both Republicans AND Democrats. It needs to come both in the form of spending cuts AND increased revenue.
Please Obama, get a budget passed.
