Propose Changing How Congressional Districts are Drawn

Both sides in Congress have no reason to compromise or work together because over the years, congressional districts have been shaped and warped by whoever is in charge (Gerrymandering). At this point most districts contain safe conservative or progressive majorities. The President should propose a radical fix. District boundaries should be drawn using some random or geometric (probably square shapes would work best) approach that provides mixed constituents/voters. Because these would be random, some may contain Republican or Democratic party majorities but most would be more mixed than they are now. This would increase the likelyhood that whoever is elected from these divided districts will better represent everyone and feel more pressure to "find the middle" of any issue.
