Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is THE strongest evidence-based treatment method for autism. It is considered by a majority of health care providers as an integral part of any effective early childhood intervention to help children with an autism diagnosis to improve cognitively and become productive members of their societies.
Currently, self-funded and federally-funded healthcare plans (and state-mandated plans with no clear autism mandates) exclude ABA as a legitimate cost to be covered.
