This petition is intended to insure that the president keeps his promise of helping create jobs for veterans. In this case the veterans in question are those who served as combat medics in the Army and Air Force in addition to Navy Hospital Corpsmen. These men have served with distinction receiving over 10,000 honors and awards for valor, and thus deserve to have a foothold upon entering civilian life. Currently the Army and Air Force medics only have EMT-Basic which limits their options in the job market and doesn't accurately match their skill level. Meanwhile the Navy Hospital Corpsmen receive no such certification despite being the most decorated single branch in the Department of the Navy. The ultimate goal would be to allow former medics to not only benefit themselves but others too.
