Propose to congress ending the majority vote system of elections and replacing it with multi-proportion representation.

Created by C.S. on September 08, 2015

The first past the post system of elections has created an oligarchy of power between two parties in our country. If we are truly trying to be representative of the diverse views of those across all parts of our nation, reforming the election system is something in dire need.
Multi-proportional representation is a proven way to allow for diverse leadership and citizens satisfaction with those we send to Congress. It is used in numerous countries around the world, from Europe to Latin America and elsewhere.
Two parties is just one away from being a one-party state and history has shown us that the less competition there is in a political system, the easier it is for corruption and gridlock to take hold. To fix our problem we must address the systemic roots; election laws are one.
