Our founding fathers were incredibly intelligent men who were well ahead of their time. They knew that the right to protect oneself when threatened is essential in any functioning democracy. However when they created the 2nd Amendment, firearms were still in there infancy. They could never foresee the advances that have been made in firearms technology, and could never imagine how destructive and lethal firearms have become today.
We the people, propose a change to the 2nd Amendment so that we all have the right to bear Non-Lethal Arms. This way we can ensure an optimal balance between personal and public safety.
