Current House seat allocation procedures have been notoriously corrupt for more than 100 years due to the practice of gerrymandering districts. We the undersigned request a Constitutional amendment to allocate all House seats as follows: 1 seat per 100,000 persons per state. All candidates would be voted on by all voters of a given state.
This new method would eliminate 'safe' seats and skewed over-representation of party over another by eliminating the artificial and archaic practice of gerrymandering. Furthermore, this action would make Congressional representatives more responsive to the needs of all the people in their states rather than to those of a demographically select few.
We respectfully ask for your advocacy and action on this matter of great importance for our democracy.
