propose a constitutional amendment that guarantees education as a right of the people.

Created by R.S. on October 26, 2011

The United Nations has stated in The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 26, that "Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms" and "Everyone has the right to education" among other issues regarding universal education for humans. As highly intellectual beings with an increased capacity for learning, innovation and the manipulation of our surrounding resources, an amendment should be created to support what top academics, anthropologists, scholars, and psychologists believe is a human right. You cannot stop someone from learning, but you can take away resources that they use to promote the depth of their knowledge (i.e FAFSA,work-study programs, etc.)
