For too long the noble sport of baseball has been mocked by the addition of a 10th player acting as a designated hitter in AMerican League line-ups. A baseball team is to list 9 players, and 9 players only, to start and complete a game. Such adjustments need to be made to preserve the integrity of an American Institution. Similarly, a game is to be played in a park, on fresh dirt and grass, not a synthesized turf to make the game easier. Such an articial travesty must be overturned so that all can enjoy the purity of the game.
