Propose a constitutional amendment to prohibit partisan gerrymandering of congressional and legislative districts.

We urge the President to propose and support an amendment to the US Constitution that prohibits consideration of party affiliation and past voting records in establishing congressional and legislative districts; that requires states to conduct non-partisan congressional and legislative redistricting processes; and that requires congressional and legislative districts to be compact and follow existing political and natural boundaries as much as possible.
