Propose a Constitutional Amendment to remove the electoral college.

Created by T.E. on November 16, 2012

Upon it's initiation the electoral college was created to ensure that everyone in the United States would have a voice in elections. The system has morphed to a point where a candidate can cater to certain states to capture their electoral votes, rendering the voices and votes of the remaining states irrelevant. The electoral college should be abolished due to the countries ability to quickly and accurately count the popular vote, and as such, the popular vote should decide elections. This would ensure that each and every citizens voice is heard during this important process, not a few select states.
