When the Supreme Court ruled that corporations should be treated as individuals with regard to electoral spending, they opened a back door for corporations to buy American politicians. That door needs to be closed. The founding fathers wrote the constitution with the intention of safeguarding against an accumulation of power in any one place. The biggest threat to that intention at this point in history is corporate control of our elected officials. It's our responsibility as citizens to demand that corporate power in Washington be limited and right now that means pressuring our elected officials to propose a strategy for over-turning Citizens United. It's our responsibility because without our pressure, they won't be able to do it.
