propose a Constitutional change to replace the Electoral College with a nationwide popular vote to elect presidents.

The Electoral College process was created at the inception of this great country, but today is perhaps the most convoluted national election process found anywhere in the world. Our president should be elected on a one person-one vote basis where all ballots in every state are counted toward the national totals. If the Electoral College truly were a viable process, then why was it never adopted at the state, county or Congressional district level? The reason is because it is unfair and unwieldy and does not count every vote cast. In a modern democratic society with highly advanced technology, instant communications worldwide and ease of travel across all 50 states, we need to replace the Electoral College with a true popular vote for all national presidential elections.
