We the voting citizens of the US have a right to cast our ballots for the candidates of our choice for various offices, up to and including the POTUS. But when a voter feels strongly that none of the candidates merit their support, they should be given a better choice than not voting for a specific contest. People who conscientiously feel that a vote for "None of the above" is a better choice than the field of candidates listed on the ballot, should be able to still exercise their right to vote. This would allow a better understanding of the will of the people in an election. This would provide better analysis of the election by not confusing a "no confidence" voter expression with simple voter apathy, and would actually encourage more voter participation.
