propose a federal constitutional amendment to limit the number of terms which members of Congress may serve.

Created by E.B. on April 24, 2013

By setting limits on the number of terms congressional members may serve, we can encourage members of both the House and Senate to define their successes in office by actual progress achieved for their constituents rather than their ability to achieve reelections. These term limits will encourage focus on creating meaningful legislation that effectively solves issues affecting citizens without concern for reelections and will normalize the occasions in which our congressmen choose to do “the right thing” without regard for political ostracism. After all, the President is limited to just two terms.
