In the wake of the latest deadly shooting in Oregon, we must realize humanity's level of destruction of innocence isn't going away. It is our duty to protect our children and those seeking knowledge in schools to feel protected from harm. The United States should and must pass federal legislation requiring lethally armed enforcement officials at every accredited school in the United States, for the purpose of being the first, second, and last line of defense in the horrific nightmare that so many have suffered and endured. We protect our airports, our government buildings, our public events, its time now to protect the students and staff of schools who are subjected to these atrocities.
