propose to the House of Representatives and the Senate, Term Limits for Congress.

Created by G.L. on December 26, 2012

Due to the Supreme Court ruling in 1995 blocking states from passing term limits on Congress, we are petitioning for a bill that will place term limits on both houses of Congress. They claim that voters are able term limit them at election time. The problem is that Congress has rigged the process in favor of the incumbent. To combat this we propose the following:
Limit Congress to 14 total years on Capitol Hill. The House of Representatives will be limited to 4 two year terms and one term in the senate.
The Senate will be limited to 2 six year terms and one term in the House.
We believe that these limits on our elected officials will re-focus Congress to the job they are elected to do, represent their districts then live by the laws that they passed.
