Propose Immigration Reform that discourages illegal immigrants from having children who abuse our welfare system

Created by K.M. on January 17, 2013

On behalf of US taxpayers, we propose Comprehensive Immigration Reform that discourages illegal immigrants from having children in this country who rely on our generous welfare system.

To this end, we propose illegal immigrant children brought to the US before the age of 14, and who graduate from an accredited US high school or GED program by age 21, and who do not apply for government assistance before age 21, be granted non-renewable, provisional residency status valid no more than 10 years. Those who earn a Bachelor's Degree within 10 years shall be eligible to apply for permanent residency status.

Illegal immigrants who come to this country with children shall become eligible for permanent resident status when ALL of their non-US-born and US-born children graduate from high school.
