As we all know well, the cost of a college education for our kids continues to grow at an exponential rate. What makes this more dangerous for our society is that wages are not increasing in a proportionate manner. This is dissuading many bright kids from being able to benefit from a college education since the debt incurred from going though college is very high and given the current wage base, a financial burden for a person starting their life.
Many of us parent have been trying to help our children to carry a good portion of our children's education.
The Following steps would incentivize parents to help:
Tax credits should be increased
Interest for ALL Parent Plus loans should be tax deductible regardless of income
This would be very valuable for millions of middle inc. families
