By placing transmission wires underground America would protect itself from unnecessary disaster spending in the future. Above ground wooden pole and wire systems are outdated and prove costly over and over. By placing electric,phone and cable lines underground thousands of jobs would be created and future disaster damages -both physical and financial- would be mitigated.
