Propose a law making it illegal for the government not to pay the military.

Created by S.B. on September 29, 2013

Congress will continue to use the threat of a government shutdown as a tactic to address political issues. This tactic comes at the expense of families of DOD employees and military members. Shutting down the government as a political maneuver is unethical behavior and worse, it is similar to the goals of terrorist attacks. The most affected are low ranking service members and those who are barely making enough money to cover their expenses. Congress should not be allowed to use this tactic, but seeing as though that will not change active duty military members should be automatically exempt from a government shutdown.
