Propose a Law On the Official Language of the U.S.,regional languages within the framework of the Tenth Amendment

Created by P.S. on November 24, 2012

Whereas, English continues being spoken by over 80% of the U.S.; provides a unifying context for our multi-lingual American family, therefore, it must be given the status of the official language if the United States.

When I became citizen I had to take an English test. This made perfect sense. English de facto is the official language.

States have to be extended the flexibility to establish their own official languages under the Tenth Amendment powers. When a state designates such a language, the language should becomes an official regional U.S. language and become the language of all government bodies in that state. Clearly, Spanish should be recognized as official regional language e.g. in the South-West.

The above steps will insure fairness and due process
