Propose a law that stops video game companies from marketing violent or sexual M-rated video games to young children!

Created by J.N. on December 03, 2012

Years ago, the movie industry was able to market violent R-rated movies to minors who weren't supposed to be able to see them, but of course some kids either lie to their parents about the content of the film or other times they would just pressure them into seeing it. A law was later passed to stop movie companies from marketing R-rated films to minors.

As a mature adult video gamer, I am disgusted by the amount of children I see buying and playing violent video games who clearly have not the mental capacity to deal with them. I guess you could argue it's just bad parenting, but video game companies should not be allowed to push their content on kids in the first place. They did it with movies, it should be done with video games. It'll make the market, and society, better for all of us.
