We the people demand that our elected officials cease and desist the practice of temporary legislation regarding the federal budget. This petitions serves to set forth requirements of the legislative and executive branches to provide real, long term budget solutions for our nation. Key points as follows:
No budget shall be passed for a duration of less than 36 months
Any new budget proposals shall be approved no later than 60 days prior to the previous budget expiring
One 6 month extension (max of 2 in 10 years) of the budget may be passed by the Senate (will not require executive approval)
Pay for all federal lawmakers and the POTUS will be suspended if not successful in creating a budget
Failure to pass a budget will result in a recall election of all lawmakers and POTUS
