There are no reasons for personal ownership of semi or fully automatic and/or ownership of militaristic type weapons. There is not a violation of the second ammendment when weapons types are restricted. When we allow militaristic weapons ownership then having a fully operational tank or missle system becomes an arguable rights claim. This is as incorrect an arguement as allowing teachers and school officials to be armed during their duty hours. This would only put employees in the position of being assaulted by gang members and then put weapons in the possession of those gang members. I grew up around and owned weapons as a teen so I am aware it is the person that kills but it is the weapon that is used that does the killing and militaristic style weapons allow for more deaths.
