Propose legislation that encourages public schools to add mandatory critical thinking classes to their curricula.

Created by A.H. on December 20, 2012

It is generally accepted that critical thinking skills create a foundation for good and moral life choices. It is unfathomable that this subject is generally not taught at the grade school level. Critical thinking is the cornerstone of making informed and free choices. Critical thinking about political issues is not something many politicians would like to see of their constituency, but we can fight this by revering the critical mind, instead of decrying intelligence. Critical thought leads to informed choices, and a heightened state of morality and in the long run, even patriotism. With recent events in mind, perhaps these skills can help those in mental anguish, to make right choices for alleviation. Something isn't working, so we need to try something else, something useful.
