Weapons that can fire more than two rounds without reloading are for killing people. They are much more likely to be used by law abiding citizens on friends or family than on intruders, terrorists, alien invaders or other bad guys. Hunters can kill animals with weapons that can fire up to two rounds without reloading. Sportsmen interested in target shooting could shoot legally in clubs in which the firearms are kept under strict control. Although we cannot prevent crazy people and criminals from killing people, we can certainly make it more difficult for them to do so, and can eventually get many anti-people weapons off the streets. Weapons that can fire more than two rounds without reloading should be illegal on the street. The government should implement a buy-back program.
