Many Americans have lost faith in their government and the political process. As each election season approaches it seems our elected officials spend more time fundraising than they do actually working for those who elected them. Sadly, a lot of the fundraising efforts center on demonizing the opposition and dividing different segments of the country.
The President and VP should held to a different standard. They represent all of America. They should be prohibited from all fundraising activity once in office. Time they currently spend crisscrossing American asking their party's big donors for money could be better used developing strategies to deal with the country's many complex problems. An added bonus would be the millions of taxpayer dollars saved in related travel & security cost.
