Propose legislation that would make it unlawful to release the names of mass shooting gunmen.

Created by N.B. on December 15, 2012

We propose that the Obama Administration immediately fast track legislation to prevent the release of the name of both alleged and proven gunmen in shootings of 3 or more people. Since it is our right to bear arms, the government needs to stop shootings in another way. Preventing the names from being released for a set period of time will ensure that future prospective gunmen will know they will remain unknown and will not receive the attention they seek.

In the same way children's names are not released to protect their innocence in cases of rape. We should not release gunmen's names in order to protect the innocence of the rest of America.
