Why is the president restricted to 8 years when a senator can serve for 57 years? Force members of Congress to focus on issues rather than constant reelection and end undemocratic long-term relationships between lobbies and congresspeople. Term limits would allow for a more varied group of representatives, remove part of the entrenched 'elite' in Washington, and provide Americans with greater choice rather than forcing them to settle for an incumbent.
