propose that the President and Congress take a 20% in pay during furlough also.

Starting on July 8th, 2013, civilian federal workers will be furloughed one day a week until the end of September. This amounts to a 20% reduction in pay for scores of individuals that have not only received a pay raise in the last few years, but are living pay check to pay check. Federal Workers are not rolling in dough like the media and some elected officials want citizens to believe. If the civilian workers that help run the daily business of the government have to take a 20% raise and risk financial hardship to help balance an already inflated budget, they why can't the President and Congress do their part and put up their 20%? Seems fair to me.
